Starfish, follow the instructions on the sheet he gave us. You're supposed to write a paper on it using two sources, but what you present in front of the class (on FRIDAY) will only be reading Chaucer's character sketch. If it's under half a page, you have to read four lines of the Middle English before reading the modern English. Does that make sense?

Why would we have a biography? All we need is their role in Medieval society. And I was assuming by two sources he meant two outside sources--not the Canterbury Tales. You could ask him, though.

Oh, man, Effie, you asked that twice and never did find out what a fief was! I'm sorry! At least you didn't need to know for the test. Here is Webster's definition: 1 : a feudal estate : FEE
2 : something over which one has rights or exercises control: "a politician's fief"
And for a bibliography, I don't know, that's a good question, but it's so easy to do one since we only have to have 2 sources, I'd do one just in case. (Besides, it'll take up room on the page!)

Jessica the shrub: we were walking along, doing this science worksheet where we had to list the various plants, and I said, "Hey, we can write Jessica down!" And Jessica said, "I'm a cute shrub!" I thiiiinnnnk that's how it went. Sounds better without my stupidity in it, doesn't it?
The irregular verbs sheet is for Spanish. It had a whole bunch of sentences we were supposed to translate and insert the irregular verbs (caigo, conozco, etc.), in the right forms.
