rosie could you please post the spanish verse id really appreciate it!

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 4:53:00 pm, Blogger Aletheia said...

"Que su amabilidad sea evidente a todos. El Senor esta cerca. No"
(Seriously! That was the end of the line!) There's a tilde on Senor and an accent on the a of esta, not that that matters since it's verbal.
Michael, have you done number 19 in the math yet? If so, did you get it right?

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 5:31:00 pm, Blogger Aletheia said...

Never mind, I got it.
Does anybody need the history?

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 6:00:00 pm, Blogger forevereternalmike said...

for, spanish you only have to go thru todos. thats what she told us. and i did get the math right

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 6:16:00 pm, Anonymous Anonymous said...

thanks rosie you could post the history if you want too i spose.

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 6:35:00 pm, Anonymous Anonymous said...

does the spanish verse stop at todos or go to no?

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 7:16:00 pm, Blogger Aletheia said...

Oh, thanks, Michael. She told us just as we were all packing up, so I didn't hear all about it. And good job on getting the math. :)

At Tuesday, September 13, 2005 7:18:00 pm, Blogger Aletheia said...

What? Are you questioning the authority of Michael?? Of course it only goes through todos!

tranks for the help the other day... i love this blog and rosies webstie cuz everytime i have a question i no right where to go... so tranks again! and i have another question for you too... are infinitives really that important in latin (aka:what about them do we have to know for the quiz?)

At Wednesday, September 14, 2005 8:10:00 pm, Blogger forevereternalmike said...

hey rosi, what does the brainstorm sheet look like, cuz i never got one so i am just gonna make a makeshift one.

o hey chuck ur probly gone now tho so ill tok to you tmorrow.

At Wednesday, September 14, 2005 10:43:00 pm, Blogger Aletheia said...

Well, sorry I didn't get on here sooner. You guys are probably all in bed. *yawn* But for the Latin quiz, just know that the infinitive is laudare or whatever, it's pretty straightforward, just add the "re" thing to the stem, and know that it means "to praise" or whatever.
And the brainstorm sheet has a big space for ideas on one side and a little space for words on the other and a sample of iambic pentameter: "When I have seen the hungry ocean gain."
G'nite!

Here's a quote for you, from Vanima: "Welcome to the start of the end of your life as you know it. I will be with you shortly." It's talking about school starting.

At Thursday, September 15, 2005 7:44:00 pm, Blogger Aletheia said...

I suppose the field trip was OK. I was too busy freaking out about having to remember this so I could teach people and give them GRADES to enjoy it very much.
It was on Ribbons's blog, you could go see.
A periphrastic epithet is a roundabout way of saying something, like a simile or a metaphor, or a kenning: like gospel. An example of a PE is "he who moves the forest," speaking of the wind. It has more meaning and beauty than just saying "the wind."
