Guys, this is so exciting. Yesterday I got my permit and after youth group I drove in the back of the Kmart parking lot, but it was so scary. I didn't know what I was doing. I went 10 mph!! Then I couldn't steer correctly and my brother said driving is more natural for guys and I guess he is probably right. Then I freaked out because a man came through riding his bike and I stopped because I didn't want to kill the poor man. That would have been a terrible first drive.
Megan, don't worry about using a ton of vocab, cause I'm not sure how much I used (if any at all) and I still got a good grade.--Emma

Megan, I don't technically have a fax machine, but my dad is like a techno-wizard, and I have a feeling he would be able to do anything one can do with a fax machine. Why?
o well mr b told that i should read an oober smart persons -namely you- essay and i was thinking that u could fax me ur essay and then i could fax u mine and u could edit it and fax it back and so on.
but seeing as we cant do that then we should get together!!! that would be really fun!
Well, we absolutely can do that, but if you want to get together, I'd love it!! So we can just pretend we can't, so we can get together. (Yeah, I'm sounding very confusing. And I'M supposed to be good at English??)

Megan, I just got your message. I'm leaving tonight, so I can't help you tomorrow. I'm sorry!! Can you have your mom or someone peer edit it instead? Maybe Emma would be willing to help--she's good at essays.
Just remember never to talk to the reader, so instead of "do not," you should put "one should not," but try not to overuse "one." Try reading it out loud, too, that'll help you find when it doesn't flow. Make sure everything is clear. And watch punctuation in a couple places. (I suggested changes.) I think it'll be great!!
Oh, and watch person. Instead of "one realizes as they mature," put "one realizes as he matures." It makes more sense.
