So, what's everybody doing with their summer? I feel like a fly in a room. No responsibilities, but nothing to do, just bumping around, always looking for something interesting...yeah. Give me something useful to do!! I think we should all serve soup to homeless people or something.
So, I went to look at everybody's xangas. That is sooo confusing! You can only read half of it cuz everybody's background is all weird.
I do not get it. How do people manage to do email, blogging, xanga, myspace, and IM, AND get their homework done? I think maybe I'll just give up. I'm not that coordinated!
serve lunch to homeless people? ive a better idea. how bout the homeless people walk across the street and get a job!! that may sound harsh but unless they mentally or physically cannot handle a job then i aint gonna be handin them there lunch!! and scripture can back me up on that. (not to attack you or anything rosie- i just have very strong feelings about bums and such)

Well, the Bible says to help the poor, so either it means that we should help them even though they don't deserve it, or that sometimes people can't help being poor. (Which is more likely.)
Like what if my daddy loses his job, and the only job he can find doesn't pay enough to support five kids?

oh i get wut ur sayin rosie! but 99.999999999999 and so on % of homeles people wouldnt get a job no matter how much or little it paid theyd rather just stand by the side of road all day with a sign and the Bible says that if we dont work then we dont eat. i do get wut ur sayin about not makin anuff money. i gess u shouldnt hav alot of children if ya cant support em or get two jobs. i no alot of people who hav more than one job because they really want to make things work out and i wouldnt say thats being an over achiever id say thats being smart and resourceful.
or u could get social security to help with the food part but still hold a job dont let ss support ur whole life cuz then ur just a bum.

I just want to say... that I'm really smart, not too bad looking, a willing worker, and I CAN'T GET A JOB. So go a little easier on the homeless people... they must have a harder time than be because at least I can take a shower before I go turn in my applications and I must smell better.
Sorry... I'm emotionally unstable right now. All this job hunting is making me go insane... and I'm getting depressed... and the sky is falling (jk, the sky isn't falling)

I do wonder how hard it really is to get a job. I'm sure you're right about those people, at least the ones on street corners, not even trying, but today's job market is pretty unstable, I think. There are several men in my church that have been jobless for even years, and they are trying, I'm sure.
And that brings up the question of social security. I personally would rather rely on peoples' generosity than the government.
I think it would be interesting to talk to someone who's actually out there, trying to get a job. (Like Vanima!) How hard is it really to get a job? And how do you give yourself the best chance of getting jobs when you grow up?

Top Foods didn't have any opening for 16 year olds... only 18 and over. One of my friends was telling me that some places don't hire 16 year olds.
So far I'm having trouble finding a job. I think that's because I don't have any experience... I don't know... All I know is that I don't have a job yet.
