Hi! Megan the English final is first- I'm pretty sure. You guys I have a question. If I am writing a quote and it has to agree with the verb would it go something like this? Original: But when my glass shows me, myself indeed. Redo?: But when [his] glass shows [him], [himself] indeed.????? Also what if I say, "Crusoe should have 'LEARN to labor and to wait.'" Would it be, Crusoe should have "learn[ed] to labor and to wait."????????? Thanks-Emma
How does Jullius Ceasar fit into the theame of going from Childhood to Adult hood? I compleatle forgot about him. UG, how in the world do you study for a english test?
Yeah, Emma, it sounds good, though it looks awkward. An enjambment is where there's no punctuation at the end of a line, making the poetry sound like it's rushing forward, tumbling over itself. Julius Caesar: people misconstrued everything, but adults see clearly.
Can someone please help me???? I put a couple pithy quotes in my essay but I didn't put where I got them and I can't find them anywhere!!!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please help. Pretty Please With Cherries on the Top HELP!! Here they are(I almost forgot to say what they were. :o) woops! "awaken to new life" and "true motives" Thanks in advance for all the help you can give. --Emma
"It is in dying that we awaken to new life." --The Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi (Wow, you're cross-referencing outside English! What a good idea!) "True motives"? It probably has something to do with Julius Caesar, but I don't know that one.
Nobody is threatening to kill me if I don't cite sources, at least I don't think so. But of course I'm not Michael, so I generally don't receive death threats! I just really wanted to know cause the sentence I have it in is really good and my mom was telling me I needed to put where the quote was from and my brain couldn't remember where I got it from. Go figure! TTFN--Emma
I get the hot swimmer part, but the 6? It could have been Clinton or Kim, too. They both swim. Except Kim doesn't have internet. I shall post the quote.
Yeah. Write it down or something. I know! I feel so free! Summer has just about started. Do you realize that we don't have to do one single more English worksheet or one single more ID for three months? Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
ok a list of responses: WHAT! HOW COULD SOMEONE LIVE W/O INTERNET!? its also cuz rachel's aim name has 6's in it, and she likes the # 6. yep those were the good ol' days, huh peter. i will miss you both deeply as well. peter, reading? u r such a nerd you know i am just joking i love you peter. so rosie, bout the hottswimmer6 thing, that means u think clinton is hott. ooh that is juicy info.haha
I think Comic Sans MS would be easy to read small. Why? Michael, you changed your picture again! What is this one of? I can't see it very well. Ah, yes, Clinton is so hot.
As of March 2007, Touche welcomes ForevereternalMike as a contributor! Aletheia is very happy to have someone to help handle the many quotes. Thanks, Michael! And as always, anyone is free to post. You don't even need a blogger account.
